The chances are that at some stage you have walked into a room where everyone else seems to know each other and you are the stranger. At that point you would have realised how important hospitality is.  This is especially true in a church setting, where people come looking for meaningful connections.  We are all called to respond to the needs of our quests to ensure they experience a warm and welcoming environment.  Our aim is that our visitors will feel ‘at home’ with us, we aim to be relational not just on a Sunday but every day.

The bible is very clear about the importance of Christians showing hospitality as a practical demonstration of God’s love.  Peter says in 1 Peter 4:10 “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.”  Hospitality should not be a burden but a joy as we welcome, visit, cook meals for, invite and share our lives with others in our church community.  Hospitality is part of being an outward focused community of believers that is expecting to grow by forming relationships and integrating newcomers and existing members by forming relationships.
